Finding the moment.
The hotel can only be reached by cable car from Wiler (Lötschental). The lodge is located 50 m from the mountain station. Public parking spaces and the bus stop are located directly at the valley station of the Lauchernalp cable car in Wiler. The Momentum does not have its own parking spaces.
In summer, use of the cable car is free with the guest card. In winter, the guest card entitles you to a reduction on single cable car rides. The cable car is included with a valid ski pass and a return trip (valid for 30 days) can be purchased for non-skiers. Alternatively, a weekly cable car ticket is available for CHF 120 or CHF 60 with a Half-Fare Card/GA.
Luggage transportation.
One piece of luggage plus skis per person can be carried free of charge in the cable car. You can also take additional luggage with you for CHF 5.00 per item. Alternatively, a luggage trolley is recommended if you are carrying several pieces of luggage:
- A luggage strap is required to transport a luggage trolley on the Wiler-Lauchernalp cable car
- Luggage straps are available at the valley station (ascent) and the mountain station (descent) and cost CHF 20.
- One valid wristband is required per basket for outward and return transportation. One wristband is required per basket.
- Luggage that exceeds the capacity of the paid baskets will not be transported.
- The wristband must be visibly attached to the luggage trolley.
- Baggage without a valid tag will not be transported.
- Each piece of luggage may weigh a maximum of 20 kg.

Travel by public transport.
The north-south axis Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon takes you safely and comfortably to Goppenstein station every hour from Bern or Brig. In Goppenstein you have a connection to a post bus to the Lötschental. The journey time from Goppenstein to the Wiler/Talstation stop is approx. 15 minutes. You can reach the Lauchernalp mountain station in a few minutes by cable car. The post bus from Goppenstein is included in the guest card.

Arriving by car.
From the north, take the A6 highway from Bern to Spiez. Here the cantonal road branches off in the direction of Kandersteg. After loading your car easily and quickly onto the train at the car transport station in Kandersteg, you can drive through the Lötschberg tunnel in just 15 minutes and arrive comfortably in Goppenstein.

Cheaper online tickets for Goppenstein car transport
From the south, take the Rhone Valley highway from Lausanne or the cantonal road from Brig to Gampel/Steg.
From Steg and Goppenstein, the well-maintained road leads directly into the Lötschental. The road is also easy to drive on in winter. Winter passes are required for the months of November to April.
Please note that there are only limited parking spaces available in Wiler during the winter season. There is no direct access to the lodge on the Lauchernalp by car, summer or winter.
